If You Would Like....
I forgot to mention something in my previous entry. For those of you who wish to send your regards to the family, I have included a link to the online guestbook to send a brief message to the family. Whether you know them or just wish to let them know they're in your prayers. I would like to encourage everyone who visits this page to sign. Also, an article was published on the Pickering family in early 2009, I have also included the links to it as well. The original articles were written by Randy Moll a local newspaper writer in Northwest Arkansas. I personally believe, he captured a true glimpse of the Pickering family.

About the Family...
Well, let me first start with the circumstances that led to the loss of Cody. On, September 2 of last year he was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukemia (APML). However, after a very fierce battle he was blessed with a complete remission. Unfortunately though, we were all devastated to learn that the leukemia had returned in early 2009. Cody however, being the strong person that he was, once again started fighting for his life. Except, this time we would all be less fortunate, Cody lost his battle on March 09, 2009. "Our loss is heavens gain" to quote his wife Melissa. Cody is survived by his wife and two children and now they need our help. This family has been left with an insurmountable cost whether it was from medical, funeral, or daily expenses. I am setting up this account not only for their daily needs but hopefully a college fund for their children.
